‘House of David’ Actors Say ‘Reverence for Scripture’ Is at the Heart of Their Portrayals
Actors Michael Iskander and Martyn Ford portray David and Goliath, respectively, in the new Prime Video series “House of David.” “I’m a Christian, but also I didn’t want to make him so much larger than life,” Iskander said of his character. The series depicts David drawing inspiration from Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous,” Iskander said. “Those words are very inspiring to David that allow him to go and face this giant. And for me, I found them inspiring in my own life.”
