'In God We Trust' State Flag Approved by Mississippi Voters, 78-22 Percent
Mississippi voters, on Tuesday, approved a new state flag that features the phrase “In God We Trust.” A design for a new state flag was put on the ballot after many Mississippians voiced a desire to change the state’s previous flag which featured the Confederate Battle Flag.
