In her new Netflix documentary Miss Americana, pop star Taylor Swift is seen passionately decided that she wants to speak out on political issues. In a conversation with several people on her team, including her parents, Swift is seen saying that she is distraught over Republican Tennessee candidate Marsha Blackburn’s campaign labeling “anti-LGBT” rhetoric as “Tennessee Christian values.”
