Christian Nurse Demoted after Using Male Pronouns for Transgender Patient
A Christian nurse in the U.K. was disciplined and demoted after referring to a biologically male transgender prisoner as “mister,” citing her religious beliefs. Despite facing racist abuse and threats from the inmate, she was found in violation of the NHS code for not using the prisoner’s preferred pronouns and now warns that NHS workers risk punishment for standing by their faith and biological reality.
