Christian Leaders Urge Trump to Help Free 24 Christian Hostages in Azerbaijan
A coalition of Christian leaders has urged former President Donald Trump to take action to secure the release of 23 Christian Armenians and one Azeri Christian convert detained in Azerbaijan, citing reports of routine torture. In a letter led by advocacy group Save Armenia and signed by notable religious and political figures, they emphasized Azerbaijan’s history of persecuting Christians and called on Trump to use his influence to prevent further religious persecution.
