Johnson explained that the woman involved was not a member of Lawson’s church and lived in another state, responding to a supporter named Casey Staats, who raised concerns about Johnson’s honesty on social media. Johnson shared that the woman met Lawson through her family’s friendship with him but stated that church leaders were unaware of the affair. He added that if any church elder was found to have known about it and done nothing, they would be dismissed.
