U.S. Comics Counters 1619 Project with ‘Historically Accurate’ Comics for Children

The CEO of Kingstone Studios, a Christian-owned comic book publisher, aims to teach America’s children the true history of the nation’s founding through visually engaging comics. Known for its award-winning Kingstone Bible, the publisher is expanding into history-themed comics with the launch of U.S. Comics, offering titles on key American events like the Constitution and Paul Revere’s Ride. CEO Art Ayris believes comics can enhance learning by combining text and imagery, referencing Allan Paivio’s dual coding theory, and says the imprint targets children, teens, and young adults with “historically accurate” storytelling.
