The Satanic Temple (TST) has launched its second telehealth abortion clinic in Virginia, following the first in New Mexico, providing no-cost services aside from low-priced medication. TST frames the clinics as part of its religious mission to protect bodily autonomy and counter abortion restrictions since Roe v. Wade’s reversal, offering over 100 abortions since 2023. Describing abortion as a spiritual “destruction ritual” aimed at empowering patients, TST emphasizes patient safety through virtual consultations and follow-ups despite concerns over telehealth abortion practices.
