When we face a setback…

“But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6

David faced a great setback in Ziklag. His whole family was taken captive and his men tried to kill him. In such a time, the bible says David strengthened himself in the Lord. Sometimes when we are down and there is no one to pick us up we need to to pick ourselves and go before the Lord. Waiting on God gives us strength. There is no better place than to be in God’s presence when we are down. God is our refuge and strength and a very present help in times of trouble. Not only David got strength in God’s presence but he also got new direction and breakthrough by being in God’s presence. So today whatever setback we are facing let us make sure we stand before the Lord and ask for his strength, direction and breakthrough. God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
