Stand firm in FAITH

What are you afraid of?

Sometimes we fear for the worst case scenario but God always plans and aligns the best blessings in our path. When Elijah heard the threat from Jezebel he was afraid and ran for his life. He thought he was the only one left. He complained to God saying “I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”

God replied to Elijah saying “Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.”

Also God had already planned that Elijah would not die but taken up to heaven in a chariot!

Isn’t that amazing that both of Elijah’s greatest fear was just opposite to what God was working in his life.

In Isaiah 7, the King of Judah was told that King of Aram has allied itself with Ephraim and when  the King of Judah heard it, his people were shaken as the the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind. But look at how the Lord replied.

‘Be careful, keep calm and don’t be afraid. Do not lose heart because of these two smoldering stubs of firewood—because of the fierce angerof Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah. Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah’sson have plotted your ruin, saying, “Let us invade Judah; let us tear it apart and divide it among ourselves, and make the son of Tabeel king over it.” Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘It will not take place,
    it will not happen….

If you do not stand firm in your faith,
you will not stand at all.’

God is saying that whatever you fear will not take place and it will not happen. God wants you to stand firm in your faith as fear can be your worst enemy and it can make you weak. May be you are afraid of a health situation or a you are afraid about people working against your life. But your heavenly father wants you to know he will not allow such things in your life as he is always planning the best for you. So take joy in this and stand firm in your faith today!
